Their rubber biz may be affected but should still be profitable due to strong demands from glove companies. China factories also largely opened in Q2 taking in their rubber products. The glove biz profits in Q2 is likely to be at least 3 to 4 times coming from their Q1 low base of 375m baht ($16.4m). Note that they are producing 32B gloves.. Just compare with Kossan (Malaysian glove co with similiar 30B capacity) as a basis. UOB TP is $1.84. TP should be at least $2, waiting for more analysts re rating for this gem. This time first quarter earnings from STA was 845 million baht but 376 million baht profit was from rubber and about 94 million from joint ventures and the rest from gloves 375 million baht. Understand possibly rubber profits about half of 1st quarters to derive at 188 million baht plus 94 million from joint ventures of other business plus possibly gloves huge profits likely to be 2 times of first quarters at 750 million baht which probably result release to be more than 1st quarter results at 1.032 billion baht. Therefore STA price at 24.6 baht is relatively undervalued. With worsening covid 19, demand for gloves is very strong till date, as STGT is the 3rd largest global gloves producer but the only public listed gloves company in Thailand which will result in huge profits for STGT for the next few quarters into 2022. STGT target price at least hitting 130 baht minimum this year if we were to compare with Supermax recent price rally which is the 4th largest producer in Msia as its capacity for year 2020 is only 27 billion gloves compared to STA of 33 billion gloves capacity. As such, I shall rate STA as out perform for a minimum traget price between 56 and 62 baht for the rest of 2020 viewing STA will enjoy 100% of STGT profits for 2nd quarter reporting and 56% thereafter from 3rd quarter reporting onwards.

If I remember correctly, most of the glove makers also get raw material from them Retailers anxious because other glove makers like UG, TG etc cheonging to the sky whereas this counter 1 step forward & 2 steps back

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Your scenario  could be  a reason why selling pressure  from TH side past week.  I think profit taking can also be another reason. Some  may be thinking STA' s  profit  would not be much since  STGT is listed.  Some may have under estimated  " Glove" power of which I did too  (sold Riverstone too early and thought the maximum it could go was $2 plus). Some of them probably got burnt back in 2017 and are apprehensive to buy into this stock at this price. Its the same as us feeling scared to go into some counters which are range bound (i.e. YZJ at a price of $1.2 and above).  But the difference this time around is the P& L and the continued demand for gloves.  The Q2 results really is an important event, I think that would eventually swing the Thais' confidence back into this counter.
