The chips Apple plans to replace are for PCs so no direct impact on AEM. The street has sole Buy with TP of $8.19. AEM remains in Market Insight Growth basket.

But they can' t design their own radio chips (that' s why Qualcomm/Intel modems), so the maximum they can go is to switch back to Qualcomm chips, or MTK (seriously that would be a big downgrade). kelvintan84      ( Date: 03-Apr-2018 10:57) Posted: It does matter. Not all equipment is suitable for all chips. When a specific chips becomes obsolete, the machine will have very limited use. That' s why AEM took so long to discuss and design  the machine for Intel. Apple only annonuce that their Ipad (and i think computers) will stop using intel chips. When they gain enough capabilities and technical know how, they will do their Iphone chips in-house too, it' s just normal vertical integration of business. AEM may derive most of their revenue from Intel, but we dont know what chips they are working on. The chips may not be for Apple. The problem is we will never know because AEM will never disclose. Just make sure AEM has limited exposure to your overall port. That will keep risk in check
