Trump need to refinance US debt at lower rate which China and Fed knew what games he up to: brinkmanship ( feel free to correct my English ) Both unwilling to give in. LL for trump I went full throttle on China&mdash tariffs, pressure, tough negotiations. They were supposed to crack! I thought we had &lsquo em. Instead, they dragged their feet like a DMV line. We got a Phase One deal&mdash good, not great. I was pushing for Phase Two, Phase Three, maybe Phase Infinity. But they just smiled and stalled. Like a group project where they let me do all the work and still want credit. And then there was the Fed. Oh boy&mdash Jay Powell. I said, &ldquo Jay, CUT THE RATES!&rdquo Every country was practically giving out free money. Negative interest! You borrow and they pay you. Incredible! Meanwhile, Jay&rsquo s over here saying, &ldquo We&rsquo re being cautious.&rdquo Cautious? I needed a race car and he gave me a golf cart. Jay moved slower than a sleepy sloth on a Sunday. I wanted bold moves, action, cuts! He gave me meetings, charts, and &ldquo we&rsquo ll see.&rdquo Look&mdash I brought the heat. But it&rsquo s hard to win the game when your teammate is doing yoga in the middle of the field and the referee (China) keeps resetting the clock. Still got results, but it could&rsquo ve been legendary if people had just kept up. |

I will believe they are talking only when China side says so. China had already stated they will talk only on a mutual respect footing. But Trump wants China side to call first and kiss his fat ass. In diplomacy, the one who calls is " submitting" to the other called-on party. So what Trump claims... is BS 😂 My guess is, he is making claims about talking with China to prevent US bond/treasury market from collapsing. How long his tactics can last depends on how many people want to believe him. But I think it will not be long. You can fool some people all the time. You can fool all people some of the time. But you cannot fool all people all the time.
