I mentioned somewhere in this thread or another STA thread, this is a lousy share. I vested a lot in this stock when hovering around 1.3x before their financial report and yet after profit annoucement, it is shitted 20% and doing worse. :D | ||||

Although Sri Trang did not make a strong rebound, it also showing resilience that remains strongly above $1.10 which is viewed as a very strong support. The longer it consolidates, the stronger it rebounds.

Dear all, It?s a consecutive days of selloff in extremely fierce momentum for Msisn gloves counters since prior bonus issue until today. Many reasons are being speculated as to why this is happening such as Sabah Election, Vaccine, US election, potential MCO lockdown reimposed for the country etc. You all must have noticed that this is broad based selloff not specific to a sector. Many penny stocks, overvalued tech stocks and stocks with unjustifiable valuation deserved to be punished but not Gloves stocks with strong record earnings quarters after quarters. You all have seen the quarterly results and you can compare with other sectors to determine whether Glove stocks is a viable investment or not. It is self explanatory with the numbers that Glove stocks are extremely cheap now. Setting aside emotions is crucial especially during investing. The saying goes, one cannot be sentimental when investing. So let?s take a step back and ask ourselves, are we being objective with our investments. If we are, then we have nothing to worry. Remember that Glove stocks share price is justified with earnings and has committed orders for a minimum of 18 months at elevated ASP. Not pre-covid 19 level prices. It is another more 4 quarters of earnings / 12 months ahead with certainty. This is not even priced in yet whilst negativity of vaccine news has long been priced in the share price. This past few days of selloff is very much sentiment and news flows driven. But through all years of investing has proven time again and that fundamentals and common sense logic will prevail ultimately. If it?s about vaccine, stocks which are beneficiary of vaccines would shoot up, but it didn?t. Panic selling and definitely discouragement of emotional investing is unwarranted. The biggest mistake is to panic sell. As they say, buy when blood is on the street whoch the smart investors will do. Be objective, look at the numbers and be courageous when investing. Risk is part and parcel but do not be afraid to take a contrarian view if you know you are right. As such, STA has the best of both world of Rubber and Gloves play for a buy and hold strategy for a 6 to 12 for the smart investors with strong hands approach to accumulate STA at current level. No risk, no gain as it is sheer stupidity to park excess cash with the bank to earn annual pittance interest. Use your cash to work for you to harvest your rewards only a matter of time as STA is a fundmentally sound company with humongous 56% profit contributions from STGT gloves which will be the beneficiary of increased ASP of gloves for the one and half years or so until end 2021. | ||||

Sri Trang performance yesterday and today seem to show it to have been oversold. Despite many other counters going into the red, it has been stabilizing nicely at 1.15. I will remain vested and hold this for the long term as it appears there is a high chance for upside once all the dust clears. |

AstraZeneca puts COVID-19 vaccine trial on hold over safety concern: Report NEW YORK: AstraZeneca has paused a late-stage trial of one of the leading COVID-19 vaccine candidates after a suspected serious adverse reaction in a study participant, health news website Stat News reported on Tuesday (Sep 8). It quoted an AstraZeneca spokesperson as saying in a statement that the " standard review process triggered a pause to vaccination to allow review of safety data.&rdquo The study is testing a COVID-19 vaccine being developed by AstraZeneca and University of Oxford researchers at various sites, including the United Kingdom, where the adverse event was reported. The nature of the case and when it happened were not detailed, although the participant is expected to recover, according to Stat News. The suspension of the trial has impacted other AstraZeneca vaccine trials - as well as clinical trials being conducted by other vaccine makers, which are looking for signs of similar reactions, Stat said. The AstraZeneca spokesperson' s statement said that " in large trials, illnesses will happen by chance but must be independently reviewed to check this carefully." Stat reported that serious adverse reactions vary and can include issues that require hospitalization, life-threatening illness and death. AstraZeneca did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Nine leading US and European vaccine developers pledged on Tuesday to uphold scientific safety and efficacy standards for their experimental vaccines despite the urgency to contain the coronavirus pandemic. The companies, including AstraZeneca, Pfizer Inc and GlaxoSmithKline, issued what they called a " historic pledge" after a rise in concern that safety standards might slip in the face of political pressure to rush out a vaccine. The companies said they would " uphold the integrity of the scientific process as they work towards potential global regulatory filings and approvals of the first COVID-19 vaccines." The other signatories were Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co, Moderna Inc, Novavax Inc, Sanofi and BioNTech. |

Now even the weekly Aroon indicator is making a negatively cross over . Unless it makes a strong rebound to beat the 50SMA at $1.28 , its trend would not change .
