My guess is there is a huge overlap amongst the retail shareholder base and the retail perps base, those retailers who attended the day before as perp holders didn' t return for a second round as shareholders. That said, I think the only one who can rescue Hyflux now is Shell. And I think Tuaspring is in an even bigger trouble than I first anticipated. Initially I was wondering why there was so much interest in Tuaspring despite it bleeding so much money year after year. Then it dawned on me, maybe of these 8 bidders, probably most of them are the competing power plant operators who want to get into Hyflux data room numbers so they can better calculate how much more money(and gas) they need to burn before the entire power generation market corrects itself, i.e Tuaspring' s power plant falls out of the genco equation.
