x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Clarifications relating to Media Reports on the Johan Castberg Project Singapore, 24 October 2021 &ndash Sembcorp Marine Ltd (the &ldquo Company&rdquo ) refers to various media reports on the Johan Castberg hull project and would like to provide the following clarifications. Sembcorp Marine&rsquo s scope of work for the Johan Castberg Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel comprises the construction of the hull and living quarters and installation of the turret supplied by its customer, Equinor. The construction of the topside modules, module integration and final completion are not part of the Company&rsquo s scope of work and have always been intended by Equinor to be performed in Norway.   The work on the hull and the living quarters was in an advanced stage when the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, resulting in various work restrictions which caused delays in the project. During the construction of the hull, there were variations and additions to the scope of work and these also required additional time to complete. The remaining scope of work left is small relative to the base scope and variations that have been completed by the Company. Presently, the Johan Castberg hull and living quarters are largely completed. However, due to the available transportation window for the towing operations to Norway, Equinor has requested that the Company plan the remaining scope of work to accommodate the towing window. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	But is rather obvious that the price is supported at 8cts and they wont let it drop way below it or even 1 cts below it for the simple logic that if they do, I will buy them and then sell my existing share to TH for 8cts, could make a sizable profit as most of us could be holding hold to millions of share.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I did not comment much specifically about the Johan Castberg project and neither is it of much interest to me. What I did commented was that a number of key projects would be completed in 2021 which will be hugely cashflow positive. The subsequent project delays due to shortage of labour and the delta variant was indeed beyond my expectation. The subsequent blackmail by Transocean for a $620 mil yard financing and a lender calling for immediate repayment of a S$430 mil loan instead of rolling it over, hence resulting in the need of a 2nd rights issue, was also totally beyond of my expectation. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Short of labour ( it?s critical right now , projects are only able to run on average 60 percent worker ), covid cluster in tuas yard , short of cash flow for project execution( due to company financial restriction ) I have to say that , when a project did not hit the kpi, project manager should take the responsibility . So nothing to blame but to the project managers . So better , remember the Johan project ? You were saying in October 2020 that this project will be fully profitable , and project progress will be smooth , and ready to have good cash flow . Worker are all ready to work . I were opposite to you , saying that this project is delay , and the delay cost is bared by smm ( which you don?t agree ) . I also said that this project will not able to complete until year end 2022 ( which you said I?m wrong ) . Based on this , you advise smm price will never go below 20 cents given how profitable is this project . TH can simply earn hundred billion dollars through investment all the newly set up company such as Grab, Sea Ltd(shoppee) and many new tech company in China and global. Those companies are set up from zero value to multi billion or trillion worth MNC. TH objectives in bail out sembmar and SIA is never expecting how much they can earn from the local MNC, they just expect to rescue the companies, save the industries and save job and bring in revenue to Singapore. The 2.5bil TH dumped into the sembmar can go into the drain but they won't see the industry collapse especially behind sembmar and keppel o&m are thousands SMEs. Nevertheless, sembmar will be gone, the merge deal will go through and new entity will be formed. Only 1 name will be used for new entity, of course will be using keppel o&m as the branding. These include delays in the delivery of equipment due to border controls, slow recruitment of skilled labour, resignations of current skilled workers, and work disruptions arising from COVID-19 measures. The above has resulted in further project delays and escalated costs over the next three to nine months. The profit warning highlights the tough situation the group is facing even as it attempts to pivot its business towards the clean energy sector. The offshore and marine giant recently concluded its  second rights issue  in a year, but with continued losses, its balance sheet may face continued strain. It&rsquo s conceivable that if the losses do not let up, Sembcorp Marine may have to resort to a third rights issue next year.
