x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I think the operating env is challenging, especially in the CE segment, with low-cost (but I also think low-quality) competition  out of  the PRC.  But this is a good coy with well-disciplined management.  Perhaps this is one factor that  drives continued profit growth despite the though environment.  As  regards management guidance for the coy' s  outlook going forward,  I think it sounds like they' ve always done - realistic.  I don' t think it' s  overly cautious.  Wind22i      ( Date: 12-Feb-2019 16:31) Posted: compare to the other electronics and tech company...valuetronics earnings are more resilient and show strength... even when the rest of the tech co drop in profit by a lot.. valuetronics profit actually goes up... this show that it has good moat and very strong and resilient customers...   bigeater      ( Date: 12-Feb-2019 13:16) Posted: Management did not sound so positive in the Q3 annoucement propect statement below. The ICE segment revenue continued its double-digit growth, benefitting from the strong performance from our printer and automotive customers. The CE segment reported a revenue decline in Q3 FY2019 due to weak performance in smart lighting products which is expected to continue to weaken in the near term. As a manufacturer with global sales, the Group is operating in an uncertain macro-economic environment, caused by geo-political and trade tensions. Whilst there is no material immediate direct economic impact on us at this juncture, we cannot rule out any indirect and consequential impacts on us, such as margin pressures or even the potential loss of customers as they switch to alternative suppliers, if the trade tensions do not ease. The continued trade tensions have driven our customers to adopt a more diversified procurement strategy as they evaluate options of assembling products outside China to mitigate the impact of tariffs on goods imported to the US market. In response to the uncertainty, we are also exploring options to diversify our manufacturing footprint into North America and the Southeast Asian countries. Barring unforeseen circumstances, the directors expect the Group to remain profitable for the financial year ending 31 March 2019.
