x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	The same thing happened to Chip Eng Seng recently when it issued Rights at a huge discount to share price. After they announced the Rights Issue, it' s share price crashed off the cliff way below the issue price. So hardly anyone subscribed to the rights shares. The Rights Issue stated the Tangs would take up all unsubscribed shares. Which they did and laughed all the way to the banks. normalcy      ( Date: 15-May-2020 16:15) Posted: Market today seems on the uptrend, but for those who think it will plummet significantly here are my 2 cents. Very unlikely mother share will ever go below $3 from now till 28 May (right exercise date), because SIA seems like it has measures in place to guarantee its $8.8bn fund raising exercise, where $8.8bn = $3 for each new share generated based on the ratio of 3 new shares per 2 current shares held. If ever shares go below $3, no one would subscribe at $3 a share and people would rather buy from market directly. TH would also do the same. However, what these measures SIA has to  guarantee it stays above $3, I don&rsquo t know. If any of you folks have an idea please feel free to share. I also wonder what the mechanism is for TH to come in and buy up all unsubscribed shares and MCBs. Doesn&rsquo t seem to be any info on this online. Will TH have to buy the SIA and MCB rights at market price before they can buy all the unsubscribed shares and MCBs? If they don&rsquo t have to and can just buy shares at $3 without having to qualify or buy rights like us commoners, then they really tan dio.
