I am a shareholder of SATs, to be honest we have to bear paper losses for the moment. Don't panic sell or buy. The rights issue would definitely be at a discount to whatever average price they are quoting. The longer price move sideways at this range, the lower the rights issue. Once there is better clarity on the price, I will buy in more again. My gut feel is rights issue price slightly above $2.

 Alert Admin 		The new term loans that the company is taking are around 4% interest. Believe with their increased scale and size, they would have bargaining power with creditors to refinance at reduced rates. Believe WFS has cost of debt at 7-8% so if they can bring that down to 4%, that will itself yield substantial interest expense savings which flow down directly to EPS. 

Suspect given some variables around the deal, rights issue price etc, stock may remain sideways until there is more clarity. Appreciate any other views. Thanks.

 Alert Admin 		I think it is just that there is much uncertainty around the rights issue price despite knowing that the quantum of the equity fund raise would now be $800M. With freight rates down unlike how it was at the start of covid, it also remains to be seen how accretive the deal might be for SATS and its shareholders.

Saying that  Rights will not be more than $800m is not useful

Yesterday evening Co disclosed the funding plan.  This morning share price went down.  Not much confidence.   
 
Why T could not treat it the same as the others- Semb Marine and SIA, to obtain the WhiteWash ..as it is generally granted and underwrite the right issue.  Why the different treatment?

 Alert Admin 		Yesterday evening Co disclosed the funding plan.  This morning share price went down.  Not much confidence.   
 
Why T could not treat it the same as the others- Semb Marine and SIA, to obtain the WhiteWash ..as it is generally granted and underwrite the right issue.  Why the different treatment?
