Qanghoo      ( Date: 20-Jun-2019 15:40) Posted: For those who had bought at ard 2.60 (I recall trading at ard 2.5+), n still holding till now, the nominal loss at a px of 0.28 wld be abt 40%+, disregarding the div over the yrs (now div is peanuts, but during the commodity super cycle when CPO was at a much more buoyant level it wld have been much higher, I can' t recall exactly how much though).  For those who had GAR ' free' , they wld have to revert to their Amcol share px to quanty any loss/gain.    But, going forward, my sense is GAR is likely to move up in tandem with CPO px in the medium term (say, within next 1-2 yrs).  GAR is dismal cos CPO px seems continuing to sink with no bottom in sight (as low as RM 1968 the last few days - one reason is that the competing substitute soya bean is also sh*t, no thanks, among other things, to Duckie n his antics, causing the PRC to scale down import of ang moh soya).  There is hope though .... in El Nino.  During the last EN abt 3 yrs ago, CPO reached abt RM 3100+, n GAR reached as high as close to 50c.  That' s why I' ve the next EN on my radar.  Hopefully, it cld hit sooner rather than later n be pretty severe too (but be prepared for burning weather) to push CPO to, say => RM 3600.  Then, GAR cld be even more buoyant than 50 or even 60c.  Then long suffering holders might want to take a serious look at exiting.     In the meantime, some who might want to ' pok' might want to consider averaging at current px levels if they consider save.  My personal view is current level is bottom oc near bottom already.  Dyodd as always though.  AhLiang      ( Date: 20-Jun-2019 10:55) Posted: The way to reduce the loss is to buy double now and hold. But the Ang Mos have no speaking right. They were the ones who made the SEA countries poor by looting the resources and taxing the people for hundreds of years and not developing their economies (even the world's biggest and most valuable diamond on Queen Elizabeth 's crown was one looted from one Indian temple and one the British will forever refuse to return). The lowest it went was 0.265 ever since my post below and that was on 7 Jun morning when the professional came out to throw early in the morning because they thought Singapore banned palm oil outright in an announcement the night before. But the ban was for Artificial (man-made) Transfat which is used in many of what we eat everyday including 3 in 1 coffee, peanut butter, biscuits etc. So these 0.265 on fire-sale were swallowed by the BB one-mouth not even 30 mins after they were displayed on the table. Then thereafter, no more 0.265. - To be continued. .
