On SGX, retail destroy stocks because SG kiasu mentality is to buy only at Bid price.   And die die must sell at Ask price.   Even when both wait for days. So only outflow, no inflow. Stocks move only when institutions and syndicates get involved. That' s why on SGX, you invest only with a long time horizon and believes in the fundamentals of the business.

Ship building tailwind was expected to last till early 2030s at least due to environmental controls on ships, but Trump had disrupted this. Anyways this ship will not move higher before dividends because shorts have yet to cover. Will it crash after dividend? Nobody knows. I only know that short squeeze is best done right after dividend, not now.
