Where does this " low ball offer" comes abt? No one even knows who is the buyer! Furthermore if the offer is certain SGX will ask for an independent financial auditor to value Golden Energy, n the board will hv to address all the shareholders. I believe for such a time of Coal n Gold super cycle the offer price would be very transparent with a high premium. The MAS, SGX n the whole financial market r watching for such a big acquisition. |

Golden Energy hits all-time high on news of potential buyout
SHARES of mainboard-listed Golden Energy and Resources : AUE +7.74% surged as much as 11.3 per cent on Monday (Oct 10), following news of &ldquo a possible acquisition&rdquo .
The mining company said in a bourse filing that it is in discussion with certain shareholders, including Indra Widjaja, regarding the potential deal.
&ldquo At present, there is no concrete outcome from the aforementioned discussions, and no definitive agreements have been entered into, involving the company and its subsidiaries,&rdquo the group added.
Golden Energy&rsquo s counter rose as much as S$0.095 or 11.3 per cent to reach S$0.935 at 1.58 pm after the midday trading break. This is the highest the counter has ever been since its reverse takeover of UFS in 2015.
By 2.26 pm, Golden Energy was trading 8.9 per cent or S$0.075 higher at S$0.915. It was also the sixth most traded by volume on the Singapore bourse at the time, with 27.2 million shares changing hands.
Indra Widjaja, Franky Oesman Widjaja and Muktar Widjaja are the ultimate controlling shareholders of Golden Energy.
Indra Widjaja is also the father of Fuganto Widjaja, who is Golden Energy&rsquo s executive director, group chief executive officer and grandson of Sinar Mas founder Eka Tjipta Widjaja.

Yesterday vol chalked up 32m plus... As of now less than 9m done... and buying more than selling... Shorted yesterday merely abt 300k lots.. If market perceive to be a low ball offer, tis morn price should already tanked....  .. Be patient and go for early lunch... Let Indo BBs absorb the selling from the profittakers first.....
