Don t think anyone that invest $400m still want to carry the $3b debt. Shareholder like me likely get cheap, worthless share and bond, perp and rest likely get deep haircut. Investment is $400m not $4b |

The Johor state government will hold a meeting with Singapore soon where the possibility of reviving the " crooked bridge" project linking Johor and Singapore will be raised, said Johor Menteri Besar Osman Sapian. He said the meeting, to be held either on Oct 27 or Oct 28 in Singapore, will be also be attended by Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali. " We will discuss issues including water price, bilateral development and investments. We will try to attract investors from Singapore to Malaysia." |

My guess is Sembcorps bid for Tuaspring is still good for these two weeks, so Maybank might as well give Hyflux the two weeks to try their luck on a higher bid. | ||||

Sembcorp Industries price was too low and Hyflux try to find new buyers in 2 weeks time. Seriously even after 2 weeks had passed I don' t think new buyer will appear and Hyflux will repeat and ask for time extension and Maybank also no choice got to give them time since Sembcorp bid is so low untill Maybank also cannot get back all of their loan to Hyflux. Hyflux is simply dragging for more time. |

SINGAPORE: Hyflux has requested a two-week extension to find a buyer and sign a binding deal for its Tuaspring Integrated Water and Power Plant. The deadline was meant to be on Monday (Oct 15). The troubled water treatment firm had said last week that it was assessing a bid submitted by one of two interested buyers that have been approved by relevant authorities. In an SGX filing on Monday, Hyflux said Maybank - its largest secured lender - has given in-principle approval for the extension until Oct 29. |
