The details tare too much to dispense here. But briefly as what I heard from coffee ships (and I could have heard some wrongly).... before Sembcorp Indistrirs, there was Sembawang Corporation and Sembawang Shipyard was the marine division of it. Sembawang Shipyard was later listed on SGX as Sembcorp Marine, and after Sembawang Corporation merged with STI to formed Sembcorp Industries and listed on SGX, SMM became a subsidiary of SCI. Now is demerged.. I couldn' t find any of these history on the internet, so take it as a coffee shop history lesson

SEMBCORP SECURES LONG-TERM CONTRACT FOR POWER SUPPLY TO
BANGLADESH FROM ITS INDIA OPERATIONS
Singapore, February 3, 2022 &ndash Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) announced that its
wholly-owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Energy India Limited (SEIL), has signed a power
purchase agreement with PTC India Limited to supply 200MW of power to Bangladesh
till May 2033.
The power supply, which is expected to commence in the first half of 2022, will be from
SEIL' s 2.6GW supercritical power generation facility in Nellore, India. With this
agreement, 85% of SEIL&rsquo s thermal plant capacity will be underpinned by long-term and
mid-term contracts.
This agreement is not expected to have a material impact on the earnings per share
and net asset value per share of Sembcorp Industries for the financial year ending
December 31, 2022.
