x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I think that was in Malaysia. They switched to durain planting. But now even durain prices are dirt cheap. BTW GAR has plantations in Africa. When prices are low, volume will compensate as long as it is profitable to sell. But if it is not profitable to sell or selling at a loss, volume will kill the company. GAR has a guaranteed Indonesian market and a large China market. I know one Singaporean who nearly went bankrupt when he produced bolts and nuts in Tuas until he switched his factory and opened his market in Indonesia. Hyflux sold water at a loss and ended up its present situation. Uber was charging $5 per trip to anywhere in Singapore and lost its pants and have to sell to Grab. The GM is now in charge of a kitchen. For this counter, I don't care about the CPO prices and what the analysts say. Indonesians especially the siper-rich are discreet people. But the share prices of their companies tell all. GAR has risen nearly 1/3 from its low of 0.22. And the President said he has nothing to fear because this is his last term. He cited also lowering corporate tax, easing labour law and lifting of foreign ownership as policies in plan during the Bloomberg interview. Other data revealed from the horse's mouth : Palm oil being the strategic commodity of Indonesia contributes to 4% of the country's GDP. 16 million Indonesians are working directly in this business. Four percent of the country's population are depending on palm oil for their livelihood. This is why I said GAR being the largest Indonesian palm oil company will not die.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I believe many people had missed the opportunity to own this counter shares below 0.30 because they believed what those 'analysts' told them. And they threw the last single share they found in their drawers at 0.275 because the highest target price given by these 'analysts' were 0.28 (by OCBC). One broking house even gave 0.15 but short of stating that this might happen only in a full-blown global recession. Others gave 0.23. My Enlist teacer gave 0.255 and below. Why? I don't know.
