Despite the 3.5bn loss that exceeded expectations (2.17 bn) here, I think there are some positives from the report. 1st positive: There is still 7 billion dollars of cash available for use as of end Sep 2020. This is going to be critical for the next one year or so.

SQ has 3.5 Billion LOSS and counting, yet daily UP. Please stop wth the results BS. I repeat ah SQ can lose 1 trillion dollars, Medtecs make 1 Billion. Price movement still Medtecs Down, SQ UP.  in Stock Market, Results is BS. Notice that SIA choose to report Half yr results compared to prior yr while most companies will disclose Half yr resutls and current qtr results. What is SIA trying to hide? Bad results for Q2? Hedging loss for half yr is $563.6m while its reported in Q1 that the hedging loss was $464m Why lower debt ratio? Raise money via MCBs which is debt but for now, its equity accounted for. Debt remains high Also, note the MCBs are equity accounted for and costs of servicing the MCBs are not recognised as expenses first until they are redeemed or if if converted, than there will be massive dilution. Either way, MCBs cause massive desruction to current shareholders value. Cost of servicing MCBs will range from 4-6%. SIA is smart to issue MCBs as it takes pressure of income sttm by not requiring to recognise costs now but as mkt participants, we need to know all these.
