For Short sell report - Go to SGX website. Click Market Information, Securities, Stocks - then select Marking of Sell Orders - daily & weekly report. Considering that the issued share capital > 557m shares, so the no. of shorts so far are negligible relative to total issued shares. I am waiting for px to crash to $1.40 (xb) to load more (if it happen). Who knows, we may have to thank them (shortists) for bringing down the price to $1.40 (xb). This crash could bring genuine M& A deals to the table which may otherwise not happen. Before the crash, $5 offer (cb) looks unlikely to go through (if offerred). But now any offer around $2.50 (xb) should be accepted, at least by the 30% public investors. DYODD. Need patience to hold for mid- to long-term. |

This is what I see. Many of them scare XB will drop even further and no worth of wating. Also no much people buying in for it 1 for 1 bonus. Just my point of view trade with care and with your won decision. |

Super need Tongkat Ali to give it a lift. Shortists are getting bolder now - Monday (19/5) was 31% of traded vol (336k/ 1081k). Tues 17% (224k/1341k), Wed. 17% (329k/1919k). Vested & holding. |

There is definitely a chance for buyover of super, if you look at the fmcg market in general, there is a trend towards consolidation. Bigger companies buying over brand so as to increase its portfolio. So i have confidence towards shares like super, thbev, breadtalk, sheng siong. fmcg deals with human daily necessity, it nevers goes out of business, even in recession period. |

i guess he says it because we are talking about sg stocks in general, and mostly local brokerages cover local stocks. the bulge bracket IBs seldom cover local stocks.. that said, the same applies to all brokerages. take what they say with a pinch of salt, after all, everyone acts in self interests. (why would there be an incentive to produce a totally neutral-stance report that is free for all to see haha) |
