.....To complete....oil also used in lubricants which is required even if the vehicle runs on electricity as long as it has moving parts. Alternative energy source is required, being dependant only on crude/coal/NG is not a smart idea as availability is not unlimited. Oil price fall is Cyclic due to very high level of production last few years there is glut which will take time to be consumed by markets. China and US are buying huge reserves of oil but are running out of space to store...why do you think they are buying soo much oil at current price if its going to fall?
Just want to decouple bad financial management of companies from future of sector.

There are other points like declining outputs from mature producing fields and increasing oil demand from developing countries. Also the huge cut in CAPEX over the past 2 years means less new projects completion in the coming 1-2years. Too many moving parts in the oil demand/supply market and only time will tell how this rebalancing will work out.
No doubt alternative energy is on the rise for various reasons but there are still huge reserves of oil and natural gas to be exploited and that's $$$$ for countries with those reserves. If there's money to be made then i believe oil will still be the main fuel for the forseeable future.

What you are mentioning is all over the internet, if the situation is soo dismal why are companies being acquired, Ezra, Swiber are cases of unsustainable debt. As for oil sector over 500 million cars sold in the last 5 years last few years every year is a record

Ezra situation on paper may br even worse off than Swiber...
Swiiber "quickly raised the white flag" because the top guys felt that was a like a "redemption of things" for them.... As for Ezra , i guess the persona or personality of Ezra too guys are very different from those of Swiber.... Still it does not mean Ezra Books is much better.... |

Don't be so pessimistic. Last Fri after the news, emas didn't drop, despite all negative news are related to it. But we have to admit that ezra management is really rotten, as assets are nearly wiped off in 2 years. Will 3 banks try to save it? $1b loan fr them. | ||||

And yet some forummers still INDUCE OTHERS TO BUY INTO EZRA ????????? JUST look at its balance sheet and net liabilities. Its fair value at best $0.001 per share. Just watch next monday how they dump ezra and its other affiliated companies shares .... |
