The near term 1.625c should attract more players coming to invest. Based on Gap theory, the big gap from 32c to 16c must be closed and I see many reasons that it ought to be closed and closed fast: 1. Price volume is getting better and I believe those who shorted at 30c and above should start to consider closing their short position while they still have huge profit. They might even turn into long as they see price surging upward. Those who short at below 17c, good luck to you.....better hide quickly. 2. Refinancing has been completed which cut interest by 0.7% from 2.3% to 1.6% and saved APTT at least $9m per annum. This relieves APPT all the  debt pressure over next 3 yrs especially in an environment that US is hiking the rate. Now mgt can focus on its biz and scale it up. 3. The refinancing demonstrated the vote of confidance by the bank. While the basic cable TV biz seems to be declining, the drop is actually more than compensated by the premium cable TV and broad band biz. In addition, the drop of subscriber in basic cable TV is actually  insignificant showing how sticky the customers are, probably because of the rich asian contents it provides over 70+ channels and die hard habits of Taiwanse. 4. The business seems to be doing well with EBITA of S$180m, out of which S$70m has been used for CAPEX  because of the  5G roll out. Another 1 to 2 yrs to go for CAPEX requirements. Once it is over in the next 2 yrs,  APTT will have additional $70m in its hands to pay out more div and pare down debt significantly. 5. Business  from 5G side is likely to pick up in 2019 once it is being roll  out and  we should start to see contribution from 2019/20 onward. But the fact remains that real dividend investors expect a baseline of at least 8% div for this stock. Many blue chips are currently giving 5%-6%, while many very good strong Reits/Trusts are giving 7%-8%.  So many div investors even expect APTT to offer at least 9%-10% for the additional risk.  At 1.2c div for 3Q18 till 4Q2020 (maybe even beyond), it translates to a share price of 15c (8% div) and below (> 8% div) for div investors. Anything higher than this are basically traders, speculators, gamblers and shortists playing among themselves till another new distressed stock captures their attention.
