It is a good move to buy at 69 cents, leave it there, and move on to other things which have really done much better in 2017 (like Bitcoin). I remember some time back there was someone who posted a message saying that the main reason he/she could win 9 out of 10 trades was because he/she learned it the hard way when the stock market crashed. I took some time to reflect upon that thought carefully, and really I believe the key differentiator between people are those who HAVE to learn things the hard way, and those who learn things the smart way. Some people rely  on mistakes as a way to learn in life, which are certainly one way to learn, but not the only way. No matter how old someone is, or how much experience he has, he needs to ask himself this hard question: " How much of what I know about the stockmarket is the product of careful reasoning and analysis, and how much of it is simply shaped by mistaken reactions to past mistakes" . Everyone will live to 70 years old one day, everyone will gain experience by making mistakes. But the few who make it in life are those who gain experience WITHOUT making mistakes. And of course, when you win 9 out of 10 trades, the last trade that doesn' t win, could also be the one that provides some hard lessons. Every person is hardworking in this world. Every adult person is capable of putting in 10 units of work each day. But as Warren Buffett himself said, " you only have to do a few things right in life, as long as you don' t do too many things wrong" . The real question is often not whether we are hard working enough, but whether out of the 10 units of work put in everyday, we do 10 things right and nothing wrong, 6 things right and 4 things wrong, which ends up in net, 2 things done right per day, or 5 things right and 5 things wrong. The difference is not hardworkingness, but net work done. More hard work does not equate more results. Anyway, I must have written too much here. Happy Christmas to all, and Happy New Year to all. Enjoy the volatility, but don' t lose sight of the bigger picture.
