Many of the potential supporters for SMM, including TH, cannot come in now because they are in or are aware of the merger negotiation process. Buying now for them will be considered insider trading.

The delivery commitments for the five jack-ups are deferred to 2023, with the first newbuilding now set to be handed over in May 2023 and the final one in December. The move represents a major rescheduling of the initial timetable for the five rigs, all of which should have been delivered by the second quarter of 2021. Three of the rigs are almost fully built and will be stucked in Keppel OM' s books for a while. Keppel got more projects deferred or canceled than won over the past year.

Anything lower, I might as well hang on til the offshore recovery. KC is likely asking for 1.5 x book value. I believe the deal would be done at between 1 to 1.5 x BV. If done at BV, SMM would be valued at about 30 cents.  If done at 1.5 x BV, SMM would be valued at around 45 cents. Let' s see.
