Actually i think it will be this way. The price now is too low for trading halt. Imagine how much it will have to go up if trading halt now.

Normally BB already in the market before trading halt

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) _ Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $320 million.

On a per-share basis, the Santa Clara, California-based company said it had net income of 29 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 34 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 32 cents per share.

The maker of chipmaking equipment posted revenue of $2.45 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.42 billion.

For the current quarter ending in August, Applied Materials expects its per-share earnings to range from 46 cents to 50 cents.

Look at it two ways - if you had bought low, then even XD and there is a sell down you will still be in profit. Or else, if you believe in the fundamentals of the company and the reason why you vested in it at the beginning, then with a sell down there is a good opportunity to accumulate more.
