A logical solution would be a merger of Keppel Corp' s Rig Co n Dev Co with Sembcorp Marine.
It would eliminate the need to compete for contracts purely on price.

Instead, it could allow the enlarged entity to bid only for profitable projects, even in a market that is shrinking.
As the saying goes: Revenue is vanity, profit is sanity, cash is reality, everything else is pomposity.
From a strategic angle, it would make sense.
From a human resources angle, it might not only safeguard jobs but could even boost employment.
A dominant player, even in a shrinking market, has pricing power.

 Alert Admin 		How can you say they will not do anything? At least, they are now "in discussion for over 10 projects or contracts" mah. Just that haven't announced a single one yet, that's all. And also, perhaps they have managed to pursuade KC to give up the rigs business, so the hill now only left with one small tiger after the big tiger decided to leave. Isn't that something done? It's not easy to get KC leave the whole pie for SCM, you know. Stepping out of comfort zone to try new things, something like that. Lol.
