It might happen, if there are no buyers and TPG/MR enter the market. Both telcos will pit their respective strengths to fend off the threat from a fourth mobile entrant (TPG) and MR. M1 is viewed as the weakest of the three telcos in Singapore given its dominant mobile exposure (> 60% of revenue) and a merger could address commercial challenges there are revenue synergies (better cross -selling/bundlingopportunities for M1 which does not offer a quad play service) and cost synergies (network,sales & distribution, capex etc) both telcos are in talks for potential network sharing and the shareholders of both entities can consolidate their stakes in a bigger and more formidable outfit that would be in a better position to compete with Singtel and TPG Telecom (TPG) .

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	The fair value of M1 is only 1.70 to 1.80. And some more it dont have many good tangible and non tangible asset as most of the business is in singapore. I dont think will have company offering to high price for it. And now share price is already 2.07 because of takeover. I think over valued.
