Hmmm... 🤔 I agree the risk is chinese govt policy... But look at their past practise, they have been blocking foreign players in all key domain.. Google, Facebook, amazon.. That's why Baidu, tencent and alibaba did so well...
Of course CAO won't be as big as the 3 mentioned, purely due to the fact of low margin... And oil price being unpredictable.. But hey, I can take consolation to the fact that a Ssh of CAO is China ah gong... Ah gong won't shoot his own leg right...

You may have said that, but it is obvious the implication was that CAO's business will be eaten by hi-speed rail.
Why would you suddenly appear in this thread and spread negativity? Not only did comment but others. Would it have anything to do with your argument with SGTrader17 in the Creative thread? Come back to the thread when you learn how not to invade other threads just to get your petty revenge on other people who have pointed out realities you simply cannot deal with.

it is only worth 1.5 now because it still can monopolize on such little margin. but then maybe because the margin is so little, that' s why no one else want to enter lol anyway this counter doesn' t really benefit from oil recovery as it is a supplier not producer, instead it will be hurt by volatile oil prices which is happening NOW.

But FY2017 supposed to be a good biz year for CAO.
But I look at their results vs FY2016. Declined a bit. Margin is less than 5% ? Think only 1.5%. This is risky biz. Not as rosy as the picture painted out to be.

if you can read, I was refering to the limitation of domestic flight sector in china due to china' s high speed railway development, which is currently at the top of the world. come talk to me again when tokyo and sydney both become part of china.

a good chunk of CAO' s price evaluation lies on the fact that it is the monopoly. how much would it lost overnight if it loses this status? Is there any strong reason why china would ever want to have 1 jet fuel supplier only? I can' t see any For me a status is not considered as a company' s fundamentals, as it can be taken away anytime and especially in china where they put the state & political party interest above individual and company interest.  I don' t want to wake up one day to see my investment value get slashed by decisions made by the communist party |

The point is, there are few rail players in China. But only 1 jet fuel player.
If I am not wrong only less than 10% of China pop has passport (need to check again), make a guess of the size of the aviation industry when it bumps up to say... 15%? I will reevaluate my investment when CAO loses it's monopoly status or if BP leaves the board, or else this remains one of the best proxy to china's growth, especially now that US is closing it's border.

- rally from 0.5 to 1.8 since 1st Aug 2015 - SMA 20 trend showing uptrend to sideline - EW show in wave c correction. - Wave c dn 1.79 to 1.47 Hope it end at 1.47. If Px break 1.47, then wave c become ext EW on w3. Good luck. |

I think there are a lot more airports than there are high speed rail terminals. Not everyone lives near a high speed rail terminal. Domestic airports that don' t require immigration are much cheaper and easier to build and operate also. The key is, as the middle class grows, so will air travellers, and these middle class people live all over China.

Saw some silly saying "ooh US domestic aviation industry so good, so Chinese domestic aviation must be good in the future " really has no clue. All the major cities in China can be reached via high speed rail train within a few hours, because geographically they are much more centralized and closer to each other than US cities. Would you take train from Beijing to Shanghai or take a flight? But in US, will anyone take train from New York to LA/chicago/Seattle? | ||||

In China rail still >> aviation. But look at midas, all contracts supported by CRCC, the state owned company, Still went kaput LMAO. Many went bankrupt investing Chinese companies because the corruption is rampant and they are so damn good at covering things up | ||||

Ya, I saw how exciting Creative was today and yesterday. Looking at my hard earned funds, in China aviation industry is safer than buying headphones. You only have one China aviation industry but headphones, anyone can make new models and new technology in any time soon. That's why it is call Creative. Glad that I am a boring person who don't like exciting stocks.

Thanks, bro. I am long on this counter, so I won't be too much bothered by its fluctuations. The dividends are going into my pockets in May or a June and with profits from the share price too. A company with good prospects and paying good dividends, I buy and keep. If still at this level of 1.50, month end I have more funds, will top up a bit more. Seriously, I don't need to worry about its daily share price. How big is China and it's aviation industry? I also can't answer. LMFAO. Btw, thanks again. Appreciate it. I will go into Cosco again one of these days.
