x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	To be fair, I am also biased towards this stock as I have a vested interest in prices going up so it is ' interesting' to hear the views of the opposite camp...  He did spend a fair amount of time to write his research and tried to cover it from various angles but my issue is that... 1. Not all his points are factually accurate (i.e, provisions for Optus saga have been made, if it eventually turns out to be less then the provisions can be reversed as well... Such cases tend to drag out over a long time and Optus is hardly the only Australian company that has suffered from a data breach or downtime in the last few years. Secondly, Capex spending for 5g has mostly been spent as what Singtel' s CFO had mentioned a couple of times previously.) 2. Not properly quantified as what you have mentioned... he brought up many challenges but what is their $$ impact to Singtel? Without putting a figure to it, could we be just making a mountain out of a molehill? Lastly, it seems that he already started shorting the stock long before he came up with this research... which is odd if he is planning to take up such a large position against it... Not really a sound approach to investing... But maybe he has money to spare so this could be chum for him... When the saga was announced, price action was all speculative with no material financial impact priced in. We just need to wait for the judgement and the actual finanancial penalty they need to pay.
