YAMADA ACHIEVED 1Q2015 EARNINGS OF RMB4.8 MILLION FROM REVENUE OF RMB55.9 MILLION Revenue rose 39.5% to RMB55.9 million from RMB40.1 million in 1Q2014. Net earnings grew from RMB0.6 million to RMB4.8 million
Future Outlook & Growth Strategies For the rest of FY2015, we will focus on the execution of our two-pronged growth strategy of enlarging our moso bamboo plantation and strengthening our processed food segment. With an enlarged moso bamboo plantation of 100,845 mu, our production of bamboo trees and spring and winter bamboo shoots will be significantly expanded. This is in line with our strategy of developing a second flagship product alongside shiitake mushrooms. We will also continue to expand our sales network and product variety for our processed food products, including convenience food products, to capture the strong growth momentum in our domestic and overseas markets. With our recent termination of the lease of 1,792 mu of shiitake mushroom cultivation farmland, the remaining 3,342 mu of cultivation bases will yield less shiitake mushrooms on a year-on-year basis. The fall in revenue contribution from shiitake mushrooms will be augmented by an increase in revenue contribution from moso bamboos. |

Yamada Green Resources is proposing to acquire a moso bamboo plantation for a period of 10 years for RMB234.5m. The market value of the Plantation was estimated to be approximately RMB242.8m. The Plantation, which is situated at Jiangle County, Fujian Province, China, has gross land area measuring approximately 67,000 mu. The Plantation shall be used solely for the cultivation and harvest of moso bamboo, spring bamboo shoots and winter bamboo shoots. The Group believes the bamboo plantation business will continue to generate a stable income stream in the future due to its higher resilience to fluctuating climate conditions experienced in recent years in the PRC. It will also enable the Group to diversify risks from largely reliant on its shiitake mushroom business. |

Going back to 2 Aug 2013, I am impressed by how quickly Sam Goi was able to shaft 42 million shares down the throat of Global Yellow Pages. He seemed to have predicted the share price future movement, and GYP seems to have absolutely no clue. Knowing friends at the right places is indeed helpful. |
