the actual rule
- w3 cannot be the shortest of w1/w3/w5.

On the main wave
- w1 and w3 ext ew same delta
- so w3 is not the shortest
- and mean w5 delta can short or long

But normally w3 should be longer
- as such diddnt expect w5 delta to be long
- this is theory only

 Alert Admin 		One mth has past since the push up of Singtel ...to 310/30 level ......Anlayst report etc ....n mayb some talks on pay TV etc.
However, fundamentally Singtel has not get into some drive mode.
5G can be one but dont see it coming so soon ....mayb at best end of the year.  Result coming soon, doubt it can be good.
Dividend 10.7c can be  a consolation ....if not price may fall back :(

SingTel - Bharti Airtel & Warburg Pincus in Talks to Acquire 61% Stake in Pay-TV Operator, Dish TV

  • SingTel (SGX:Z74), Bharti Airtel (Airtel) and Warburg Pincus are in talks to acquire a 61% stake in pay-TV operator, Dish TV (DTV), the largest pay-TV provider in India. The deal, which would involve making an offer for another 26% stake in the company, is likely to complete in two months with due diligence ongoing. (Source: Economic Times)
  • Post completion, the combined Airtel-Dish TV would be the world&rsquo s largest TV distribution company with over 38m subs or a 61% share of India&rsquo s direct-to-home (DTH) market.
  • The bulk of the investments are likely to be at the SingTel and Warburg Pincus levels so as not to burden Airtel&rsquo s balance sheet, which is highly geared.

Comment

  • Based on the reported offer price of INR50 per DTV share, the total consideration works out to be some INR80bn (87% stake). Including DTV&rsquo s debt of INR22.5bn, this translates into an enterprise value (EV) of INR114bn or FY20 EV/EBITDA of 5.1x.
  • We view the deal positively should it materialise, given the significant market share gains (largest pay-TV operator in India) and potential synergies in revenue, content as well as marketing and distribution.
  • Airtel&rsquo s Digital TV (ATV) business has 15m subs and is focused on urban centres while DTV is strong in rural areas. This acquisition would further enhance Airtel&rsquo s triple play proposition and competitive advantage, allowing it to go one up against rival Reliance Jio (RJIO)&rsquo s own triple play pursuit.
  • Rating: NEUTRAL.
  • Target Price: SGD3.09.

Broke above the multi years/months resistance @ 3.15. Big Inverse H& S formation. NT Resistance @ 3.23 (23 Aug 2018) with short term support @ 3.10. Bullish trend remains intact as long as it stays above the 200D MA (3.04). Macquarie has a most bullish FV @ 4.12, with the street consensus FV (21/24 analysts) @ 3.54. OIR keeps as Buy, with FV @ 3.79. News @ SingTel, Bharti Airtel and Warburg Pincus are in talks to buy a stake in Dish TV.

 Alert Admin 		This one still the champ.  But I' ve a haunch Starhub is likely to recover some grd too.  Yes, there' s some loss in margin all rd.  Truth though is there' s a lot of gimmicks in the telcos' promos n pricings n I reckon they' ll both emerged bruised (perhaps Starhub more so than Stel) but the injuries are likely to be not too serious.

My friends all do not use Singtel Dash.
And their HungryGoWhere app so difficult to use and not user friendly at all.

my guesstimate on their forwarddividend. btween 13-15c for a while. then 5G growth kicks in (the time of low price mobile phone maybe comming to end and users will then start to switch back to with phone plan ) and they must control the indian company well on spending and possible leakage. the dividend will increased after a few years.
so my guess is short term will be around this price and maybe up a bit. then mid -long term growth.
they still have lots of good idea outside of telco main business. just felt they always launch and leave it to grow.
not aggressive enough to growth these good ideas. like cloud, sass platform, security, e-wallet, etc.  all good things they attempt but then just let it grow naturally.
