The Souk  Tleta plant supplies water to  Algé rienne des Eaux,  the state-owned national water company of Algeria, and Sonatrach, the national oil company. The offtakers have sent a  " purported notice of termination" to Almiyah Attilemcania, the project developer, and its 51 per cent shareholder Tlemcen Desalination Investment Company (TDIC). Hyflux owns 30 per cent of TDIC. The offtakers have specified eight days&rsquo prior written notice for the purported termination of the water purchase agreement, Hyflux said.  The  Souk  Tleta  desalination plant has been in operation since 2011, with a daily capacity of 200,000 cubic metres. It  marked Hyflux&rsquo s entry into the water treatment market in the region.

The sale price reflects a loss of S$300,000 against the net asset value of Hyflux' s shareholding in the  bottled drinking water firm. The sale of shares held in the firm PT Oasis Waters International was done through Hyflux' s consumer products unit, Hyflux Consumer Products. The buyer was an investment company based in Hong Kong.

The sale price reflects a loss of S$300,000 against the net asset value of Hyflux' s shareholding in the  bottled drinking water firm. The sale of shares held in the firm PT Oasis Waters International was done through Hyflux' s consumer products unit, Hyflux Consumer Products. The buyer was an investment company based in Hong Kong.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hell breaks loose SEAWATER DESALINATION PLANT AT SOUK TLETA, WILAYA OF TLEMCEN, ALGERIA      Singapore, 20 November 2018 &ndash Hyflux Ltd (Hyflux or the Group) would like to announce that a purported notice of termination has been received in respect of the seawater desalination plant of 200,000 m3/day at Souk Tleta, Wilaya of Tlemcen, Algeria (Project), by (a) Almiyah Attilemcania SpA (AAS), the company responsible for the development of the Project, and (b) Tlemcen Desalination Investment Company SAS (TDIC), the 51% shareholder in AAS.    The purported notice was issued by the offtakers of the Project, Sonatrach and Algé rienne des Eaux, and specified 8 days&rsquo prior written notice for the purported termination of the water purchase agreement in respect of the Project
