Not a good set of numbers...disappointing....but perhaps finding a bottom...get some of finance charges down and the figures will be good...but that a few years aways... |

Revenue Q-to-Q likely to be flat or only slightly higher than Q1...the new contracts were not going to cut in till Q3...next qtr and in Q4 with the USD$97 mill contract and USD$300 mill contract starting then revenue likely go up then but for Q2 likely more flat Q-to-Q. For profit Q-to-Q should be down with higher finance costs and margins due to renegotiated terms etc...in respect to Y-on-Y profit should be down quite a bit from Q2 2014. Suppose good thing is they never issued profit guidance, so could least be profitable.

Profit should b higher given admin fee should be lower compare to last q due to aquisition cost

Or the last minute sell-down could simply be a fall out from negative perceptions of SG economy and the devaluation of the yuan...seems like market was really hit by macroeconomic issues today than company specific.....SG market all over was bad...so perhaps simply swept up in that down draft rather than something specific...last minute sell-off perhaps just speculative views of bad news...missed possibility rather than anything specific...difficult to say...wait till tmr suppose!!!

Betting on a bad result...no real basis but just a feeling not going to be good...headed to 4c before perhaps new contracts kick in...but I do hope my ill feeling is wrong..be nice for something positive...

i think mermaid & PR results are showing weakness.. last time i used to think PR is strong as they are serving shallow water predominantly, but recent results show that their profits drop a lot.. think probably ' cos their charters are not long term compare with ezion & vallianz.. for vallianz, we should expect them to be the only one who will have increasing revenue for every quarter.. profit wise should likely increase or maintain.. but vallianz however has to have increasing revenue/profits to service their debts.. so even if it probably should see increasing revenue, it doesnt mean it is in a better state than others, as they are more debt ridden than the rest.. but whatever the case, public perceive oil counters as diseased.. so good or bad results, all oil counters will be affected negatively in share price

it is quite worrying for those vested, if oil will to really reamain low for a long time. But I think Mermaid, Pacific R, , MTQ and Ezion are strong to last. |

depend whether it service more deep sea or shallow water rig. I think Mermaid and Pacific R service shallow water more. I reead that at 40/50 oil is still profitable for shallow water rig. I dont know, i read them, true or not? I dont knw, just shr only.

What can you say...2 days of confusing trading..up one day down the next...it really seems like nothing to do with fundamentals or announcement..the SG mkt was beserk...down 2.5% plus in two days with big name counters (GLP, SIA, even DBS) getting a pounding even when showing good results...SG mkt down but rest of Asia up (aside China/HK)...think big shortists just pounding the mkt and everything just got swept up regardless of if bad or good fundamentals...virtually impossible to say if trading last 2 days rational or irrational... |

Even oil price back to 60 dollars, it doesn' t mean vallianz can survive. 40 or 60 dollars are not different for Vallianz. Only above 80 dollars can activate those oil & gas offshore construction projects. Vallianz can' t pass these winter.

I think better dont touch OnG stock for now. Look to electronic counter and stock that support consumer n or services. I dont think rate will increase this year though Fed would like to address their balance sheet, but with China and the rest of the world not doing well, they will be disadvantage., if dollar strengthen further, the rest of world will keep gg dwn, can the US stand alone??? |

If Vallianz announce trading halt then know something up and someone knew something...if no announcement or trading halt then perhaps some BB' s trading algorithm had a massive bug in it and BB not there to monitor it and system was trading auto-pilot...may explain why buy up sell down...program bought then sold back to himself...got confused...too much booze at lunch... |
