Just one think in my mind, how much will this company gain with oil prices still climbing up? China Aviation is growing if not booming. Daily volume for today so low. No ppl want to buy? Or no one want to sell? Lol. When the BBs start to act and scoop, expect the volume to pick up and the party to start for investors. Price of current lows at $1.60 can stay how long in this oil price boom? I shall wait and see. | ||||

China Aviation Oil Singapore Corporation | Buy May 10 close: S$1.58 Target price: S$2.13 UOB Kay Hian, May 10 China Aviation Oil (CAO)' s first-quarter earnings beat expectations, with net profit jumping 13.9 per cent year on year. While oil prices continue to trend upwards, the market remains extremely volatile with geopolitical factors such as the United States pulling out of the Iran deal. We are cautiously optimistic for CAO in 2018 but continue to assume lower gains for trading and optimisation activities. We expect the SPIA associate to continue to generate strong recurring income for the group with long-term growth rates around 7 per cent, in yuan terms, amid strong fundamentals and a China civil aviation boom.

Overall gd numbers but they need to improve their trading processess. Oil was volatile in first quarter. Plus point is oil is rising and expected to rise more with Iran sanctions and OPEC cuts.
JET fuel trader China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corporation (CAO) posted a 13.9 per cent increase in net profit to US$26.9 million from US$23.6 million in the year ago period, it said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Wednesday evening. Earnings per share increased to 3.13 US cents from 2.75 US cents in the preceding year. With the onset of higher oil prices, revenue for the three months ended March 31 jumped 23.9 per cent to US$4.1 billion from US$3.31 billion in the previous year . This came as total supply and trading volume increased by 4.4 per cent from 7.27 million tonnes in the first quarter of fiscal 2017 to 7.59 million tonnes. However, for the first quarter, CAO' s gross profit decreased by 14.6 per cent to US$13.2 million compared to US$15.5 million in Q1 2017. This was due mainly to lower profits from its trading and optimisation activities. Net asset value per share edged up to 87.84 US cents as at March 31, from 83.79 US cents three months ago. Said Meng Fanqiu, chief executive officer of CAO: " We are heartened that CAO has continued to report a commendable financial performance in the first quarter of 2018, amidst the uncertainties in the macroeconomic environment, geopolitical tensions and volatility in oil prices." He added: " Moving forward, CAO will remain focused on transportation fuels and is committed to driving our ' Globalisation, Integration and Asset Investment' developmental stra-tegy to ensure stable and sustainable growth." |

Anyone has any views on its Q1 results? Comparing with Q4 of Year 2017, sharing from associates jumped quite a long and contributed to net rise in Q1 Net profits. To me, it's relatively a set of better results comparing to Q4 last year. Anyone has a different view? See what's the reaction tomorrow on its share price. | ||||
