Jokes aside, as I mentioned couple of days back, as expected, results is good but not spectacular. We will see better and better results in subsequent quarters when YZJ starts booking revenue/profit from recent contracts won. In fact revenue was down for Q2 (minimal revenue recognised from contracts won so far). However, net profit up 15% from Q1, helped by other incomes. I also did said ship building is similar to construction sector, i.e. payment is progressive. Depending on complexity and size, ships can be built within 6 to 10 months or longer. Signing of contract does not entitle to receiving 1st payment (minimal deposit aside). Payment given only upon start work. Usually there will be a commencement ceremony. Take the most recent contract, Seaspan' s 10 + 5 LNG powered boxships, as example, delivery is expected to be in 2023 & 2024. It means work will start earliest end of 2022 or beginning of 2023. So, do not expect Seaspan to pay 5 to 10% deposit during signing of contract.   Once YZJ starts working on those contracts won from late last year (they won quite substantial contracts in Q4 of 2020), we will see higher revenue being booked. I&rsquo m expecting it to start showing from Q3 onwards.   Having said the above, what excites me more is below (found in page 26 of Financial Statement): &ldquo the Group is in the preliminarily phase of conducting a strategic review of its debt investment portfolio to allow the Group to focus solely on the expansion of its core shipbuilding business. As Yangzijiang aspires to become one of the best shipbuilders in the world, we remain committed to ensuring long-term value creation for all stakeholders and will act in the best interest of our shareholders.&rdquo Group want to focus on core shipbuilding business means either sell or separate listing for its debt investment business. Funny though, this whole week, I hardly see any foreign BBs buying/selling YZJ.
