Come this FY, if auditor feels the need to impair, Vallianz can close shop liao.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	what I mean is I know swiber certain project had come into issue during operations and it justification for the client to delay........for vallianz...if ship never goes into breakdown to the case of delaying operation ongoing....which not happen a lot....the delay payment are on the client issue....eventually payment will be made.....I can't say the same with swiber....I involved in their project before.....not gonna elaborate...don't want to go into trouble..... Now.....with vallianz stock price so low.....the thing that come into mind is whether vallianz will survive the oil downturn and reap the reward in the future. I think ppl can't analyses the risk n reward like a other normal business......becos offshore market now entirely on the low side..it profitability not up to individual company due diligence....... if want to analyse like normal business.....there are plenty company out there with outlook are much better. I am not gonna paint a beautiful picture here but the question is whether it is going to survive for the next 10 years

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Vallianz has US$67mil of recievable past due which they did not impair.  Whether you see it as an non-issue or not, I leave it to you. Swiber has these permanent residents (huge receivables) in their book which they cannot convert into citizen (cash).  Vallianz is mirroring Swiber footstep.  Market is aware what is gong on in these two companies. Vallianz recently cleared its US$74mil note. Did they used cash from operation to pay it?  No becos their payment for work is way overdue.  Did they take up more loan to pay it?  No. Could it be that their net gearing is too high that bank cannot loan them anymore?  They got the money from their own shareholders. Whether ship chartering or not, it makes no difference when your customers hold your payment for so long until it is way overdue.  If your customers can and will pay, they will.  Very simple.  Vallianz didn' t even think of some legal action to recover their debt.  why are they so afraid of confronting customer who are not paying.  These are not good customers.  Vallianz shouldn' t do more business with them.
