Hi, I am new here. Recently, CIMB calculated the target price to be 2.83 and I think DBS put it at 3.20. But if Sembcorp marine become totally worthless like Swiber, Yongnam etc, are these 2 target prices still valid? | ||||

Fully agreed. Company has actually done well in both energy and urban biz to achieve 20% increase in profit yoy. Believe they should be working hard to get SM back to profitability. Any announcement of project wins will be a reversal. Current price is close to 2016 lows. Just vested. Pls dyodd as always. | ||||

Singtel is in a v competative bz in telcom mkt of India . Semb Power is different lah ....there is a big big demand for good clean power in India ....where Semb Power has a good demanding position. this division continues to generate cahs flow for the whole Semb Corp n has record several qtrs of profit . As for Semb M....the corruption issue is noted for past 2 yrs or so ....alrdy a large sum of loan was taken to cater for this. So this fine ( IF ANY) is alrdy factor in as much .........dyodd

Singtel suffered losses in India Telco, this one also suffered the same fate but in India power plants. As the parent of SembMarine, it is waiting to bail out its subsidiary for the hefty fine in an alleged corruption. Nothing smells good at this stage. |
