Sembcorp Industries is listed as Grade 1 for margin financing under OCBC Securities. I believe that the rejection is not due to the stock but rather your application form, etc.

To all Bros here, I have something bad to share. Last Tuesday, I went to open a share financing account with my OCBC securities broker. I pledge all my Sembcorp shares. Today i call her and she said OCBC secuties reject my share financing ac. dai chee tua tiao liao!!!

That' s whay I said that one must have confidence in Sembcorp.If monies do coming back to the stock markets, there is no reason why Sembcorp will be in red as it is one of the index stocks. Semcorp will catch up with the market eventually. Just looked at Semb Marine, from low of $1.08 to today.

Earlier in April this year, Taiwan announced that it is planning to increase its offshore wind energy generation capacity by 5GW over a five year period from 2026 for commercial use. This move is part of the country&rsquo s third phase of offshore wind energy development project. Taiwan&rsquo s Ministry of Economic Affairs has invited local and foreign wind energy developers to coordinate on aspects such as maintenance, installation, and underwater foundation. Taiwan&rsquo s effort to reach its energy goals is good news for Sembcorp Marine (SembMarine) as the group has managed to break into the highly competitive sector and clinched a contract with Jan De Nul n.v. to fabricate 15 jacket foundations for the Formosa 2 Offshore Wind Farm. Located 4km offshore Miaoli County in the Taiwan Strait, the 376MW Formosa 2 facility will be Taiwan&rsquo s largest offshore wind farm, generating sufficient electricity for over 380,000 households when it starts operation in late 2021. This contract won is just one of six new projects totalling $400 million that SembMarine snagged recently. |
