Theoretically  ex-rights price is $4.40 per share. This is derived from 25/3/2020 prior of right issue announcement SGX-ST was traded at S$6.50.
In fact the price of the rights shares represent a discount of approximately  53.8 per cent.
The share price is currently trading at further discounts approximate at 14% of which represent total discount 67.8% is a good buy for blue chip stocks.  I think Temasek will be more than happy to take all the unsubscribe rights.  Net asset value per share was S$7.86 as at March 31, down from S$11.22 as at March 31, 2019.

if you are holding on to SIA shares, you will continue holding on to the shares. The rights that you get, whether it' s MCB R or SIA R, can only be traded this 2 weeks. After this 2 weeks, if you are still holding on to the rights, you can choose to exercise them, by putting in more money (MCB R: $1 for each right, SIA R: $3 for each right). If you do not exercise them, they lapse, and you don' t get anything, nor do you need to pay anything.

  • Our BVPS forecast for end-FY21F is S$5.89, after deducting the widened loss forecasts and the MTM losses for SIA&rsquo s out-of-the-money fuel hedges but after including the new equity rights issue (S$5.3bn) and the issue of Mandatory Convertible Bonds (MCB, S$3.5bn), which the accounting standards treat as equity. However, for the purposes of deriving our target price, we have assumed that half of the MCBs is akin to debt as we believe SIA will endeavour to redeem at least some before its 10-year maturity, resulting in a lower BVPS of S$5.30.

 Alert Admin 		Yes. All gone as each free $1 right share given to  the investors bought the mother share before 5 May (I think) is for them to buy the mother shares at additonal $3 after 21 May by 28May. 

So if you did not own anything of SIA . Then u have nothing to lose . For those who are given the 3 free right shares will lose big time if they dont sell or exercise the right shares.

If you think 3.7 wont hold, then just short it after it breaks 3.7.
