Vietshare      ( Date: 23-Mar-2021 14:47) Posted: I was shocked to see CapitalLand shares going up some 49c this morning.  Only after reading news and analysts comments that I realized it was the result of a restructuring plan.  I picked up 5 lots at $2.75 before result annoucement (not good) and see it went to 2.6x briefly before heading north of 2.75.  I guess I' m one of those lucky ones. Though most Analysts revised their target price north of $4, I' m not so certain - it may drop below $4 (like now because of current weak market conditions) or go above $4.50  (my guess) because its really early doors trying to pin something still in the works.  What interest me most is whether the newly form entity (CLIM) will still be/remain an index stock - this is where the true/fair value of the stock will be decided.

The six REITs, namely CICT,  Ascendas REIT  (SGX: A17U),  CapitaLand China Trust  (SGX: AU8U),  Ascott Residence Trust  (SGX: HMN),  Ascendas India Trust  (SGX: CY6U) and  CapitaLand Malaysia Malls Trust  (KLSE: 5180), have a combined market capitalisation of S$34.1 billion as of 19 March 2021. The rest of the funds and JVs cover a wide range of property sub-segments including retail, commercial, lodging, industrial and data centres. CLIM will end up with an attractive portfolio with a target timeline for monetisation of around three years. In the last three fiscal years, CapitaLand has achieved an average premium of 11% on divested assets. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I was shocked to see CapitalLand shares going up some 49c this morning.  Only after reading news and analysts comments that I realized it was the result of a restructuring plan.  I picked up 5 lots at $2.75 before result annoucement (not good) and see it went to 2.6x briefly before heading north of 2.75.  I guess I' m one of those lucky ones. Though most Analysts revised their target price north of $4, I' m not so certain - it may drop below $4 (like now because of current weak market conditions) or go above $4.50  (my guess) because its really early doors trying to pin something still in the works.  What interest me most is whether the newly form entity (CLIM) will still be/remain an index stock - this is where the true/fair value of the stock will be decided.
