Investor8      ( Date: 04-Jun-2020 11:56) Posted: Got the AGM date of 19 June from other bros on this thread.  So I assumed that they have got it right.  But I didn' t verify myself.  Taking place on a Friday (19 June) seemed like a logical date.  In any case, company is required to hold their AGM no later than 30 June (this is confirmed in their earlier announcements on SGX).  As for the announcement of Q2 results, no actual date announced by company.  However, based on timing of past announcements, it is expected to take place in early or mid August 2020. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	The following article from Zaobao dated 5/8/2003 about Medtecs' performance during SARS epidemic.  Profit for 6 MONTHS was just USD2.81m and share price was S$0.30c.  Now Q1 profit already USD3.67m and Q2 expected to be even much better.  Just posting for info. The Sesdaq-listed company - whose principal activity is the manufacture of medical consumables - yesterday posted a 95 per cent increase in net profit to US$2.81 million for the six months ended June 30, 2003. Turnover also rose 29 per cent to US$28.5 million as sales of medical consumables in Asia received a boost from the Sars outbreak. Medtecs' half-year gross profit rose 54 per cent to US$6.7 million, and net margin also expanded to 9.9 per cent from 6.5 per cent previously. Earnings per share hit 0.93 US cent, up from the previous corresponding first half' s 0.48 US cent. Shares in Medtecs ended at 30 cents each yesterday, more than double the 14.5 cents seen at the beginning of April. Analysts attributed the price jump to expectations of a performance boost from the Sars outbreak. But Medtecs chief executive and chairman Clement Yang said that ' although Sars did account for a portion of the company' s strong first-half performance, the effect of (the disease will not be) a one-off' .

x 1   x 0  Alert Admin	If can hold for another 2 months til 2Q result, would be excellent. Cos 1Q net profit was already US$3.7mil, guesstimate 2Q net ard US$5.0mil. Total for 1H would be US$8.7 or S$12.2mil, meaning 2.2cps just for half year.. At that sort of earnings just for the 1H, think Medtecs conservatively worth at least 30c by 2Q lah. Currently think BBs have been quietly collecting, for today so far ard 24.5-25.5c. Likely they will keep a lid at maybe ard 27 or slightly higher, until near 2Q result, then suddenly explode up to figures unseen before. Just opinion lah.
