While Temasek&rsquo s long-standing governance model is to support its portfolio companies operating independently and no involve itself in the operating or business decisions, Kyanite does intend to work with the Keppel board of directors on a comprehensive strategic review of its businesses with the aim of &ldquo creating sustainable value for all shareholders&rdquo . The strategic review may result in a refocusing on and strengthening of certain Keppel business or potential corporate actions such as joint ventures, strategic partnerships, acquisitions, disposals or mergers, said the Temasek in the statement

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Nothing has changed, not the fundamentals, not the slumps in O& G. When the heat of Keppel is off, reality will set in. The rise of this stock and its baby SM is due to the hope that the shipbuilding arm of Keppel and SembCorp will merge, and bring about some synergy and cost savings. But there is a big question mark? The offer by Temasek may not materialize. The list of pre-conditions and the 1-yr period provide a hint.  It is like saying to the Keppel Board < buckle up or I will sack you> . On one hand, I have no wish to be a SSH, on the other hand, if I am forced to do so, I will. It is like between a rock and a hard place. Keppel is unlikely to meet one-condition that says that its business performance should not deteriorate between now and October 2020. The 1-yr period is to give it a chance. My guess is that the offer will be cancelled. Enjoy the heat but dont lose your head.
