I suggest you dyodd before blasting at those who state the fact and speak their mind on matters that you do not like to read on this thread. Hope the ignorant are not been mislead by hidden risks and facts that cannot be easily noticed and take assumptions and speculatiions as being true and will eventually happen. I do like to see retail investors/ traders make money from trading as they cannot afford to loss their hard earn money. Why should any company want to wait for a company with no experience and need time to build up their facility to do their new buisness.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Agree with WL123456. ​ You miss out main points :-  1) Chairman/CEO speech ( you must read carefully)  2) Unforeseen Event like trade war ​ 3) Investors often not sure due to Complex issues or unpleasant events arising from war  ​ For example, Hi-P reaches highest 2.79 then drop steeply despite very good quarter result reports . That is beacuse Trump makes his threats real and imposed alot tariifs, Share drops all way down to 0.73. That affects Hi-P but mgmt is very good in sailing through high turbulence and shows 100million profits for 2018. Result report cements strong finance no matter trade war. In this treacherous economic time with the trade-war between US and China, Hi-P' s management must be given credit for increasing both the revenue and net profit. In the same period, they also generated positive cash flow and was prudent to reduce their bank loans. Help me understand If Hi-P is not a more than decent company, then what is?! Imagine what Hi-P can deliver in Q2 and then H2, once the Sino-US Trade Agreement is inked in the near future and the major global Tech companies like Apple get back to their Business-as-Usual!!

How many companies in today?s business climate bring in positive cash flow of $49.2mil? One of the most critical component of a company health is the operating cash flow . If there?s too much of it , it?s certainly not good as they do not know how to deal with their spare cash . For Hi p , the increase in cash flow is healthy and when you take into account Hi p paid off $61 mil in bank loans , this company has done very well in 2018/2019. Youvtake this result and compare to those components on the sti, how many can match this performance ? When there?s trade war , most companies in Singapore will announce operating loss , don?t even think about increase in net cash . This company actually has net cash and is planning to use it to grow it?s other business segments. Revenue increase by 2% when most companies with majority of their plants in China announce operating loss due to the trade war. How can this company be consider high risk ? Then what?s Low risk ? x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	waiting for end of day announcement.. if only we had the news live.. if got daily share buy back = bullish as will have some buying support till dividend up to tuesday.. no share buy back then i will be bearish.. note that last year they share buy back straight after results announcement. but market then bearish and even with share buy back price still go down.. so if with share buy back still go down u know u need to cut loss liao.

My opinion is the market is now entering a phase which the numbers traditionally go against them aka sell in May and go away . Sentiments affect stock hence a need of a catalyst . What?s important to note for hi p is while many companies are posting losses due to trade war or competition, Hi p manage to turn in a 10.7mil profit after tax on a yoy increase of 0.6mil. How many businesses can still bring in positive cash flow and profit like hi p except banks etc . Therefore i feel after those sellers are gone , the price of hi p will rise .
