A pivotal downfall of Swiber this month was the tardy disclosure of items, and the contempt shown by management in thinking disclosures not warranted. It another case study of Noble with questionable and lax disclosures. Vallianz management needs to really step up to plate early with aim of winning confidence of investors and give reassurance to try and give some level of stability. If there are any questions about things they need to bit bullet and communicate with investors. If they stay silent then this could drive in a death nail. So whilst Q2 results be nice, may be prudent for management to get ahead of the curve and address anything questionable first. Whether it simply guilt by association or if there is something truly wrong with Vallianz is a question at this point. The decline today is obviously more to do with Swiber going belly up than Vallianz suddenly having a big illness. But moving forward the question is whether Vallianz management - now that cord is cut - quickly learns from mistakes of Swiber and takes affirmative action to steer the ship in right direction, or if they follow old policies blindly and go over the edge. I do not know Swiber will go kaput but I sure feel that if Swiber is good, Vallianz don' t benefit much but if Swiber become suaybo, Vallianz will die with abang. Also Vallianz is Swiber II in the making or Swiber remake or whatever you want to call it now.
