All things being equal, the demographic factor of a large greying population in Japan will underpin revenue growth for the next 10-15 years. The baby boomers like me all around the world are moving into retirement phase, (read: more free time). That was the key consideration for investment in this trust, not withstanding some kiasi uncle talking down the stock. The decent valuation at 0.53 didn' t hurt either.

I had actually sold in May and then subsequently refused to buy at 51.5 which happened a few times after I sold. Then today bought after reading the news plus what AK71 wrote.  But managed to get at 66.5.

Maybe it' s one of the 500 high-end China tourists went to play and was extremely impressed with their golf courses.  After buying, his company can then send millions of China golfers there to play. Money will pour in like water from waterfall into his investment.

Maybe the identity of the prospective buyer is now leaking. Whether MBK or another bidder - both scenarios should be good for holders. MBK would be aggressive to ensure they snare this, while another bidder may spark a bidding war, unless MBK wants to sell out (which would be counter to their intention to build a pan-Asian golf empire)? | ||||

Accordia Golf Trust receives proposal from potential buyer for all its golf courses FRI, NOV 29, 2019 - 8:34 AM ACCORDIA Golf Trust has received a non-binding proposal from a potential buyer for its interests in all of its golf courses. The trust' s manager is evaluating the proposal and will appoint professional advisers, it said in a bourse filing on Thursday after market close. There is no certainty or assurance that this will result in any transaction, the manager added.
