Really tanked below 20cts.....Parent coy still don' t want to take over? Maybe they also waiting for VARD to clear the non-profitable committments from brazilian yards....Poor thing, parents also ganna trapped.... I was expecting price tanked below 20cts on FY15 becos of impairment and cashflow. Now have to lower expectation to 12-13cts.......Still given heavy loss-mkaing expected, this range is overly opti liao......Gd luck man!

Must be mgmt all on leave for X' mas. Maybe announce after NY. For a listed coy their priorites are in this order: - mgmt own pocket - mgmt holiday - borrowers interest - major shareholders interest - minority - will be very nice when need to ask them for money but when got their money, shut door right in front of their faces.

The problem with Vard now is that they have ship building in their Brazillian yard till 2018. This leaves 2-3 years of continuous uncertainties because of the need to do 2-3 years of crisis management for those Brazilian yards. I wonder if their parent coy is interested in a takeover since price are pretty cheap for them in comparison to what they paid before. However, one possible scenario is that the parent coy left it listed and take some advantages of the SG capital market to rise cash. Then used those investor money to clear mess and then still report poor results and let price tank until no tomorrow and then initiate a takeover. Could really be after that 2018.....

Wonder how much is the net cash available minus what is require for working capital to run the yards. Wonder if the USD construction loan for Brazil Promar, what is the options available to repay it? All the vessels in the yard is like running losses. question is how much continue to lose...:( like endless hole.. :( |

Vard is a gem if not for those investments in Brazil which on hindsight are now a bad move. But price could have bottomed |
