A relief that the manufacturing ops can resume:- Media Statement/Announcement Further Update on the Group' s Manufacturing Operations SINGAPORE, 29 April 2020: SGX Mainboard-listed UMS Holdings Limited (&ldquo UMS&rdquo or &ldquo The Group&rdquo ) has today announced a further update on the Group&rsquo s manufacturing operations. Since the Malaysian Government' s movement control order (MCO) issued on March 18, 2020 nationwide to address the Covid-19 outbreak, there has been three extensions of the MCO to May 12, 2020. In its latest announcement yesterday, Malaysia' s International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) has given the green light for all economic sectors that have been allowed to operate during the MCO period to ramp up their operations to full capacity starting April 29, 2020. Companies that have been given permits to operate during the MCO period do not have to re-apply to MITI for permission. In view of this latest announcement, the Group' s Penang factory will resume normal operations from today. Meanwhile, the Group' s factory in California, Integrated Manufacturing Technologies Inc, USA, which has been operating at a limited level since early April 2020, has also resumed normal operations from April 27, 2020. In line with the Singapore Government' s extended " Circuit Breaker" to June 1, 2020, the Group' s production facilities in Singapore will continue to operate with lower headcounts during this period. UMS does not expect the recent temporary halt to have any significant material financial impact on the Group. It will continue to assess the impact of government directives on its business, and will provide updates on the Covid-19 situation to shareholders as well as any other material developments.
