I just got my Phd In Opinionology. from the University of Sharejuntion....  so u shd take it with a pinch of salt.. Yes, it may be sensible. However sell them about a week before the market crashes. Then buy just about a day after the market hits the bottom. If you can manage this trick then you will make history. You will be head hunted by JPM or MS to be their CEO. because you are very accurate in timing the market, Seriously, unless you can perform the above trick, you will have to consider your investment time horizon. Markets take about a year to recover so it may not be worth the effort to sell. Plus you would miss any dividends and potential profit, if u miscalculate your exit and entry. Victor,,,,,,I am glad you have asked a serious question, and unless you can time the market, you may lose out. A market drop will come but is it next month or in twelve months? No one know, If you sell now and the market continues to rise you will kick yourself. If you sell and the market drops you will be happy. But then you will ask, When should I buy in again? If you buy too early and the market continues to drop you kick yourself. If you wait too long you kick yourself. You may miss the rally on the way up. Bearing in mind that there are only a few days in any year when stocks perform spectacularly, if you miss those you miss the year and with it the huge profit you would have make if you stay and do nothing. I cannot give you a definitive answer. There is no sure thing in life,,Only God can give you the answer, This is why stocks are a long-term investment. The longer you hold them the more profitable they tend to be. so stay vested and stay tuned and stay focus,, is the best CNY advice i can give you,, good luck and happy CNY... victor thank you Dr Victor  ( Phd in Opinionology) .. Probably there might be some short term risk or maybe we might see a short term downtrend like end Jan early Feb 2021. Perhaps this might be another opportunity to load some good shares on some discounts.
