Ltd.&rdquo dated 15 April 2015 (the &ldquo Announcement&rdquo ). Words and expressions used in this announcement bear the same meanings as defined in the Announcement. The Company wishes to announce its decision not to proceed to exercise the option granted to the Company to subscribe for shares in OMG. The Company has reviewed its capital allocation priorities and decided at this time not to take a passive interest in any investment, which would have been the case in the venture with OMG. Instead, the Company will continue to place its investment focus on business areas such as in rail engineering where the Company has an active interest. |

Among the two major transportation companies in singapore, Comfortdelgro has a slight edge compared to SMRT in terms of value and dividend yield. Smrt maybe can buy a little using cpf and srs, this counter did not test 1.5x but went higher , have potential to reach 1.8x with the release of any good news from now, most likely will be the 4th telco news. This does not mean a buy call, your monies, you make the decision. |

hmm, smrt is the lowest bidder.. are they trying to squeeze out competition by offering attractive prices, even if making losses? then they probably will increase fares again to say increasing expenses lol.. glad that LTA didnt award the contract to smrt.. otherwise we commuters gonna have to pay more fares to pay for smrt " increased expenses" .. |

yes its an important route but the ang moh company will be here for only 5 years. after that new bid will be won over by sg company. HSR ready only abt 8 yrs from now earliest. It is only a testbed to see what we can learn from them during those 5 yrs. Meanwhile SMRT can fully consentrate, focus, rectitfy problems, improve on, build up and get ready to take over from them ang mohs when the time comes .......

i don' t think so. price is being propped up because of dividend chasers. Wont losing out to British company take a chunk out of their profits. in my view it is an important route especially since govt announced new station to KL is to be situated in Jurong. will have to wait and see............

Neither is collusion allowed in Singapore, and is governed by Competition Commission of Singapore (Section 34). Duopoly and oligoly are legal, unless they collude.

my views are can nibble some to accumilate, another comfort delgro in the making, this counter is monitored by govt on it' s operations, and also it is the major transport counter in singapore. maybe it will diversify it' s business with more profit arms in the future to balance out it' s associate operational risks |

SMRT 4QFY15 missed, as net profit grew 23% to $20.8m, bringing full year net profit to $91m (+47%). 4QFY15 revenue increased 7.5% to $311.2m, with improved contributions from most segments. Rail and bus revenues grew from increased ridership and fare, while taxi revenue benefitted from a change in fleet composition and lower accident claim and insurance expenses. The fare business recorded an operating loss of $3.2m, as rail recorded its first ever quarterly loss of $2.4m, offset by a $0.9m profit from bus ops after 17 consecutive quarters of losses, while operating profit from non-fare business grew 18.7% to $30.7m on better performances in the rental and taxi businesses. Final DPS of 17.5¢ , bringing full year DPS to 3.25¢ . NAV/share of $0.565. |
