03/04/17, 11:16 am SINGAPORE (April 3): Global Logistic Properties says the shortlisted parties have started the due diligence process, the provider of modern logistics facilities announced on Friday night. This was the update provided by GLP on its strategic review of options for the group&rsquo s businesses after the group&rsquo s last announcement that the Special Committee was in discussions with several shortlisted parties following its evaluation of non-binding proposals received. &ldquo While the share price continues to hover near a two-year high, we highlight GLP has emphasised that there is no assurance any transaction will materialise from this strategic review,&rdquo says OCBC in its daily morning brief. &ldquo Again, we see the risk-reward in its shares as fairly balanced at current levels.&rdquo OCBC has a &ldquo hold&rdquo and an unchanged fair value estimate of $2.87. Shares of GLP are trading at $2.78. |

Pls be accurate...Q3 result was end dec...so cant have any dividend....coming Q4 result end Mar....likely end Apr/early may we shld see a dividend from GLP ...in fact not a surprise if more than 6c this round as result is definately better than last year.

Agreed w you Joshla....LOL, negotiating time....of course GLP wld mentioned that they may not sell if offer is not attractive. The more they said , the bidders would consider more seriously ......standard. Dont worry....just wait. The daily volume already tell a story ...who is accumulating if not serious. Happy investing.

Nah. It's typical GIC style. You don't commit anything until there is a binding bid. That's standard.
Why bother to invite them for due diligence when the offer is not good enough? Both GIC and bidders don't want to waste time.

In other words don' t be overly optimistic that a deal will materialise from this strategic review! At the end of the day, there could be zero deal!

GIC is on a spending spree buying up / co-owning firms in India, Japan etc.in recent times. Therefore it might be impatient to get this deal done and over with. After all the hype and the setting up of the independent committee, I believe a deal is definitely ON. However, since there are a few committed bidders vying for the ever-expanding business of GLP, things may be more complicated and may take a longer time for a deal to be sealed. I really hope this is the ONLY reason for this saga to continue to drag on. Bloomberg report indicated that final bids will come by end May. So that is the minimum length of time I am prepared to hold on to this stock.

You notice the co highlighted this specific paragraph which I appended below in bold.And this announcement has no new development from recent last one other than using strong word to " re-emphasise" . Just my own observation.

next update is end April
i think the share price will soften a bit due to folks with no holding power or ran out of patience anyway, i don't think the price will go beyond recent highs until a proper announcement about the sale is made |

Latest update dated March 30, 2017 On 27 February 2017, the Company announced that the Special Committee was in discussions with several parties whom it had shortlisted following its evaluation of non-binding proposals received and these parties would be invited to conduct due diligence on the Company. The Company wishes to update that the Special Committee remains in discussions with such parties and that these parties have commenced due diligence on the Company. |
