Treat it as a forward contract locked in at 7cents.   The market is going to be very volatile.   If HK market shots up due to Shenzhen HK connect in Nov, keep them. If presidential election and or DB and or OPEC and or Nuclear and or anyblack swan events come and stir the market and drive it south, you will still get the 7cents back.

Those who still have faith with China Development Bank (国 开 行 ) can continue to trade via HKEX after registration or to take the offer and buy HK CNDT (01278.hk) share directly later or now , current price is at HKD 0.375/0.38. After the exercise, if the market float is too small, CNDT in HK is committed to make private placement to maintain listing status. It is good for the shareholders in long term.
