STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors Post Reply Rate topic

Compared 2012 and 2015 in term of revenue and operating income 565 mio vs 708mio, 504 vs 479 mio 2016 9M is revenue 580 mio and operating income is 492mio. In overall, glp is stable and slow growth company and also they prove themselves as sustainable towards economic slow down. Sometimes we have to understand market and respect market. When market good price can be speculating to sky high. When market bad like now, price value is highly linked to dividend yield which is the annual income considered by funds for holding the company for 1 year. 3.1% is too low compared to banks, telcom and etc bluechips all around 3.5 to 5%. When keppel and 3 banks price can be discounted to half price, there is no reason for glp to stay above 2 now.

My first target of $1.715 hit and managed to get some. Next buying levels will be 1.655 to 1.705 depending on whether market will still remain suppressed. Value buying started here already

Glp pe is low but actual earning power which can generate cash for dividend is just PE of 20 and pay around 3.1% only. As compared to other bluechips this is relatively low. For matching dividend payout of 4-6% with other bluechips, glp can fall further. So just wait for the downtrend to end first.
