The BBs have at least 4~5 months to press down the price and accumulate their share inventory for this counter, than booommm the share will chiong extremely aggressively coming Q3/Q4. That' s my take, DYODD.. |

I' m no analyst or expert.  But from the onset, my guess on CapitalLand share price after the restructuring annoucement is $4.50,not too far off from this intuitive ptresentation found in the URL.  So what is holding back its share now?  My guess is weak market sentiment and, more importantly, the restructuring is still greyish and in its infancy that still requires approval.  But you can bet with your life on it that such a move (i.e. restructuring) would have already gotten the blessing of its real kingspin prior to announcement - Temasek Holdings.  But then again, never count your chicken before they' re hatch, a lesson from the semp corp and keppel corp merger that did not take off - the main reason why the share price stay below $4 IMO. On the matter about Capitaland continually restructuring.  One should expect this from a supposedly dynamic company.  Moreover, the dynamics of businesses carrying out their business is constantly changing, with brick and mortar retailers the worst hit reeling from the heat from online retailers.  The management structure of Capitaland also has changed.  Covid-19 (i.e. WFM culture) and the China market (i.e. becoming well developed, thus saturated) where Capitaland has big exposure also have been the key factor for the latest restructuring.  While its quite true many past restructuring had not bear much fruit for retail investors, this latest restructuring is more drastic and profound and should really unlock some goodies for all investors. I can' t wait to see this restructuring getting the go-ahead, and I' m certain its share price will move like crazy until the dusk settled.

I' m with you all the way on this.  current price takes into account current status of its REITs like CICT and Ascendas, and Ascott. When all of these are at their normal highs, price should at a premium over nav, possibly be touching $5.00 even. If you sell now at around $3.80, and you couldn' t buy back at lower than this price, you will not only miss out on the dollar plus worth of restructuring goodies, but it' s price appreciation as well, when world economy recovers post pandemic.

CLIM is literally and philosophically brick and mortar.   The wealthy rich will, time in memorial also acquire good class real estate as a strategic and long means to hedge against all economic headwinds and inflation.   That' s a given.   Remember also that true   investors need not have to stare and glue their eyes on tiny electronic screens to make and take profits.   Ask Warren Buffet and Berkshire Hathaway and they will tell you the same strategy.   | ||||
